Blown Fibre Systems
Fibre-optic cabling provides significantly higher transmission bandwidth
and distance than copper cabling systems. Network backbones and campus
links are typical applications, in addition, it is expected that networks
of the future will demand fibre as the medium to the desktop. Blown fibre
offers a future-proof cabling infrastructure, providing the flexibility
necessary to meet the ever increasing demands of communication networks.
Blown Fibre Technology
Blown Fibre achieves its cost-effectiveness and flexibility by separating
links into a passive infrastructure and high performance optical cabling.
The passive infrastructure is created with the specially developed
miniature plastic ducting and a range of appropriate termination and
routing accessories. The optical cabling is added with the minimum of
disruption whenever required. Multimode or single mode optical fibres are
blown into links, using sophisticated installation equipment.
